Triton Announces Valedictorian and Salutatorian – Times-Union Newspaper

BOURBON – Triton Jr.-Sr. The high school announced the valedictorian and salutatorian for the class of 2022.

The valedictorian is Lauren Snyder. His cumulative grade point average was 4.127. She is the daughter of Jeff and Johna Snyder, Bourbon.

Throughout her high school career, Snyder was involved in volleyball, softball, served as manager of the women’s basketball team, senior team, art club, science club , of the yearbook, served as president of the National Honor Society and also participated in an internship at LaFree Physical Therapy.

She received All-Conference Academics in volleyball, All-Conference Honorable Mention in softball, All State Academics for volleyball and softball, and was also recognized by the Indiana Association of School Principals as an Academic All Star.

In the fall, she plans to attend Trine University to major in exercise science.

The salutatorian is Jolie Groves. She is the daughter of Jason and Carrie Groves, Bourbon. His GPA was 4,093.

While at Triton Jr.-Sr. High school, Groves was involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, member of the senior team, art club, science club, spiritual club, vice president of the National Honor Society and also participated in an internship at Triton Elementary School.

She received All-Conference Academics in volleyball, basketball and softball, as well as All-State Academics in volleyball, basketball and softball. She also received the Pat Aikman Award for Character and Leadership.

In the fall, she plans to attend Trine University to major in speech therapy.
