Monday cover story: Masking at the addition of Kroger Field

If you are attending any of the indoor facilities at Kroger Field during a game this season, UK Athletics will require you to wear a mask regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.

That announcement came late on Sunday night and UK Athletics will be sure to provide more commentary throughout the week as we are less than two weeks away from the first game.

KSR’s Matt Jones notes in his tweet that “crowded areas” would also require masks. Until we receive further clarification from UK Athletics, it is logical to assume that this means that masks will also be mandatory in the ‘crowded areas’ on the outdoor seating at Kroger Field.

Also noted in Matt’s tweet – it looks like the only exception to the “mask warrant” will be if you’re in an “individual suite”.

Kentucky will host the University of Louisiana-Monroe on September 4 for its home opener.
