O’Sullivan collapses as NI Open hoodoo continues

The Rocket, who have yet to win the title in Belfast after finishing second in the last three editions behind Judd Trump, lost to Masters champion Yan 4-3.
O’Sullivan had forced a decider with an impeccable clearance under pressure at Waterford Hall, but broke down playing a left-handed pink to cede the lead to his Chinese opponent in the crucial seventh frame.
At first, Yan failed to capitalize but, helped by O’Sullivan who gave him more opportunities on several occasions, he finally crossed the line.
