A female Merrill, 39, and a male Merrill, 53, were arrested Monday evening following a harassment complaint. The woman was arrested on disorderly conduct charges and a bail warrant. The man was arrested on counts of disorderly conduct, six counts of felony jumping on bail and one count of misdemeanor bail.
A Tomahawk woman, 44, was arrested for a first motor vehicle driving offense while driving drunk and recklessly – endangering safety and driving the wrong way on a divided highway early Tuesday morning. The incident took place on USH 51 near Kaphaem Rd. In the town of Bradley.
Several road signs including a school bus sign, private road, slow playing kids and a 20 MPH speed limit sign were stolen from unknown locations and left on Tower Road near MM 11. A woman from Merrill, 52, was the victim of an employment scam on Friday afternoon. The woman applied for a job online (Quinsler Inc. outside California), was interviewed, and then received three checks totaling $ 8,600 with instructions to send them to four other people on the company’s list. After that, the woman was informed that she had an overdraft on her account and had withdrawn $ 500 from her own money.
