Latest news! English band Gorillaz perform in Adelaide Light Up Festival in July, as part of his Australian tour. Originally only traveling to Melbourne, Sydney and Byron Bay, Gorillaz will now play at the Adelaide Entertainment Center on July 28.

The English “virtual” group last appeared in South Africa in 2010. The group includes creators Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albanas well as animation group members Murdoc Niccals, Russel Hobbs, Noodle and 2-D.

The BRIT and Grammy Award-winning group will mix hip hop, rock and dance with a 20-piece ensemble, led by Albarn and a talented group of collaborators.

The Gorillaz will perform both new and old tracks from their seven-album discography, from Clint Eastwood and demon days to the 2020s strange timez.

Dance music duo, The Avalanches’, will also make an appearance at the festival. Their debut album Since I left You set a precedent for dance music and was named one of the best albums of 2000 by critics worldwide.

21 years later, the creators Robbie Chatter and Tony Di Blasi have teamed up with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra to bring their iconic album to life.
