Fritz and Norrie to headline 2023 Delray Beach Open

When the Delray Beach Open returns from February 10-19, it will mark the 25th year of the ATP Tour event at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center. A strong group of players are already committing to fight in the quarter-century celebration, including the world’s top 10 players from the USA Taylor Fritzwho just beat Rafael Nadal on Sunday in the ATP Finals year-end championships, and defending champion Cameron Norrie of Great Britain. canadian star Denis Shapovalov is ranked in the top 20 in the world and will return to Delray Beach for the first time in five years, and a fan favorite John Isner of the United States will bring his big serve to the tournament for the ninth time.

“We have some of the best stars on the ATP Tour coming to play at Delray Beach,” Tournament Director Marc Baron said. “The No. 1 American and British players, one of our favorites from Canada and the all-time leader on the tour will all have fans in the stands cheering them on. It’s a nice tribute to 25 years in Delray Beach that these players want to play here.

Fritz agrees. “I’ve been coming to the Delray area for the tennis since I was a kid. It’s been amazing to come back to the tournament as a top seed and see the growth in my game over the years. I can’t wait to hit the courts in Delray Beach and help the fans celebrate 25 years of the tournament in their city.

Isner is set to play his first game in Session 7 on Tuesday February 14 and Fritz is set to open his campaign in Session 10 on Wednesday night February 15.

The combined 10-day event will begin with an ATP Champions Tour event opening weekend from February 10-12 featuring some of the game’s legends and favorite former players, as well as the qualifying rounds for the 250 event. Singles and doubles main draw action for the ATP 250 event begins on Monday, February 13. The finals will take place on Sunday, February 19.
