Klimt, a Grade 1 winner and first year stallion, has been purchased by the Turkish Jockey Club, and he will move to this country for the 2022 breeding season, reports Turkish publication Yaris Dergisi.
Klimt currently sits sixth among first year sires in North America in progeny income, with $ 1,091,435 from 72 runners and 21 winners. His best runners to date include placed runners Rumble Strip Ron, Sea Art, Barone Cesco and Quality Bet.
During his own track career, Klimt won three of eight starts and earned $ 468,960. His resume was highlighted with wins in the Best Pal Stakes and G2 Best Pal Stakes categories.
Bred in Kentucky by Thor-Bred Stables, Klimt is out of the Dixie Union Inventive mare, and he is a 3rd year half-brother. Western coast Chick. Her extended family includes 1st year winners Concern and Fara’s Team.
