TRNC high school students who ranked among the top three in the High School Entrepreneurship Competition organized by the Eastern Mediterranean University Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EMU-GIMER) in March 2022 with the contribution of the Embassy of the Turkish Republic in Nicosia and Cypriot Foundations The administration traveled to Ankara and Konya to examine the successful workplaces there and to receive training on entrepreneurship. The said visits started in Ankara at the headquarters of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB) and Ankara Technopark building and then continued in Konya.
Industrial platforms visited
The second day of the visit started with a visit to the Konya Kapsül Zindankale site. Here young entrepreneurs learned about the Capsule Technology Platform. Then the tour continued with Innopark Konya Technology Development Center. Then the tour continued with Meram Vineyards. On the third day of the trip, the young entrepreneurs visited the Vocational Training Center of the Konya Chamber of Commerce and then the Mevlana Museum. The third day ended with the training of the young participants on the machines. On the fourth day, young entrepreneurs visited the main industrial enterprises in the Konya Organized Industrial Zone, and then visited the Konya Science Center. On the fifth day of the tour, Sille and the Sille Dam Park were visited. The trip, which continued with a city tour, ended with a visit to the Social Innovation Agency and Necmettin Erbakan University. The young participants who visited Butterfly Valley on the last day of the trip returned to the island the following day.

Stating that the trip was quite productive, EMU-GIMER President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer thanked Instructors Cemile Erengin, Gamze Bender and Şerife Kıvanç who accompanied the teams, Mithat Tekçam for his support in the achievement of the organization, the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology, Presidency of Konya Metropolitan Municipality and Presidency of KOSGEB.
