The Slovenian Basketball Federation has announced that Goran Dragic, Luka Doncic, Mike Tobey and Vlatko Cancar will take part in the EuroBasket preparation round match against Turkey tonight in Istanbul.

Denver Nuggets forward Cancar is set to make his national team debut this summer as he missed the FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers window in June and July.
Team captain Dragic returns to the Slovenian NT for the final dance of EuroBasket 2022. He and Doncic, who joined team training yesterday, led their national team to two wins in the final window FIBA.
The Turkey-Slovenia duel starts at 19:00 CEST. Istanbul holds special significance for Slovenia as they won their first ever EuroBasket in 2017 behind the dominating combo Dragic and Doncic.
“When we arrived in Istanbul, we relived the triumphant feelings of five years ago. This is our lucky city, hotel and arena. But it is behind us. We are interested in the future and we are all in the national team with the desire to repeat this success or come close to it.
The players who have arrived in recent days are a huge added value for the national team. I think we are better practice after practice. The game against Turkey will be the first real indicator of what we are capable of right now,” goalkeeper Klemen Prepelic told the Federation’s website.
Slovenia will be based in Cologne for the initial group stage of EuroBasket 2022. The defending champions will face France, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary and hosts Germany from September 1-7, 2022 .
