The San Antonio Opera House has unveiled its plans for the 2021-22 season, which will include two operas.
The first is a production of “Don Giovanni. The opera will feature Craig Verm in the title role alongside Michael Samuel as Leporello and Mark Diamond as Massetto. Raquel González will be Donna Anna with Karin Wolverton in Donna Elvira and Kresley Figueroa in Zerlina. To complete the cast, Joshua Dennis as Don Ottavio and Kevin Thompson playing the Commendatore. Robert Tweten directs a production directed by Garnett Bruce.

Tomer Zvulun will lead “RigolettoâWith a cast that includes James Westman, Santiago Ballerini, Andriana Chuchman, Andrea Silvestrelli, Sarah Saturnino, Reginald Smith Jr. and Bill McMurray, among others. Francesco Milioto conducts.
Performance dates: May 5 and 7, 2022
The company will also offer âExplore the Opera in the Park! The experience is kid-friendly and features live performances by the San Antonio Children’s Choir and the 2021 Apprentice Performers of the San Antonio Opera House.

There will also be several shows from past seasons, including a 2018 production of “La Traviata” starring Amanda Woodbury.
